thank you for the feedback.
Actually it depends on the database type if the database software has to be updated prior to the DMO run or not. SAP Note 1813548 is the central SAP Note on DMO and contains this information - e.g. for MaxDB, you can start with MaxDB 7.8.02.028 and do not have to update to MaxDB 7.9.
