T-Systems is DeutscheTelekom’s corporate customer arm. Building on a global infrastructure of data centers and networks, T-Systems operates information and communication technology (ICT) systems for multinational corporations and public sector institutions. With offices in over 20 countries and global delivery capability,
the Telekom subsidiary provides support to companies in all industries. Some 52,700 employees combine expertise with ICT innovations to add significant value to customers’ core business all over the world. The corporate customers unit generated revenue of around EUR 10 billion in the 2012 financial year. Engaged in the program One.ERP of Deutsche Telekom, T-Systems developed a generic ECM (Enterprise Content Management) solution for the Corporate Procurement of Deutsche Telekom based on Duet Enterprise 2.0 and Image Master. As a central hub implementation, the solution integrates 5 SAP systems (2 SRM, 2 ECC, 1 Master Data) and 4 archiving systems. The Microsoft SharePoint 2013 application aggregates “cross-system” metadata of supplier related business processes concerning “Registration of Supplier”, contracts management, purchasing and invoice management as well as accounting and provides all business relevant documents with legal and business retention requirements. Concerning legal and business retention periods of incoming and outgoing documents, the Duet Enterprise 2.0 solution includes storage and retrieving scenarios like SAP Business Document Service and SAP Archive Link. Physically, the content is stored in the 3rd party system “Image Master”, which is a SAP-ILM certified ECM product of T-Systems. The synchronization of Duet Enterprise 2.0 user management and the user mapping is realized via a central LDAP directory connectivity. KAEFER WANNER is the French subsidiary of the German KAEFER group. With 1'800 employees and a turnover of 180 Million EUR they are the French leader in the delivery of complete insulation solutions: insulation, scaffolding (from small to very large scaffolds), surface protection and interior outfitting for its Industry, Marine & Offshore as well as Construction customers. Due to its type of business KAEFER WANNER works at many construction sites all over France (up to 150 construction sites every day). Each site manager is responsible for recording, managing and approving the worked hours of all involved employees and interim workers. KAEFER WANNER was interested in reducing overall efforts for time recording and validating. At the same time the timesheet recording cycle time should be shortened and higher data quality was expected.
Furthermore an ad hoc reporting on live SAP data was needed to support site manager decisions. Please join this interactive session to learn how KAEFER WANNER reached these challenging goals by deploying a Timesheet Solution based on SharePoint and Duet Enterprise.
