On April 10, 2013 early morning SAP CIS team packed personal belongings, added souvenirs and work materials and traced the way out of the office. The reason was solid and intriguing – the intellectual cross InnoJam Moscow, scheduled to happen at the modern and creative design-factory «Flacon». The sun was shining and rising hopes for a wonderful day.

The ice-breaking welcome started with presentation of SAP University Alliances' objectives and resources mixed with huge-sized bakery. Short introduction of Design Thinking methodology formed the right creative mood. And the cross began…

The diversified audience representing 8 universities from Moscow and Voronezh tried to develop solutions for extremely understandable life-based cases: ideal smart car and handy utilities. To carry out 360o research we opened the doors and let students go in the streets to interview the accidental passers-by. Take a pause to imagine: you stroll and face the moderate though excited crowd demanding attention and answers. Much fun for interviewers, quite puzzling for those to be interviewed…

After the first concepts were agreed and presented, participants faced the new task. SAP HANA expert entered the scene to introduce the most innovative technology SAP owns nowadays. The challenge was to interpret how the freshly developed concepts could exercise SAP HANA to win extra value. Short silence and the vivid discussions filled in the room to be followed by the second round of presentations and expert assessment.

The evening crept up imperceptibly… It was time to say good-bye till… the next day. SAP University Alliances CIS had the intention not to part with jammers too soon and granted them access to SAP Forum Moscow 2013 which took place on April 11. The idea was to test next leaders «in the fight» and attract attention of serious business people to the necessity to invest more knowledge and respect in the future generation.

It worked. Representatives from SAP ecosystems as well as from higher education environment came to listen to the young professionals in the demo zone and evaluated the presented solutions by applauds. Fair approach, don't you think?

The team that got the noisiest response was awarded with the SAP training to deepen the knowledge in one of the following topics: Business analytics, Finances, HR, Controlling and SRM. All the rest got the diploma of participation.

The best part was to get «thank you»s from 30+ InnoJam heroes as well as from SAP Forum participants rather inspired by student case solutions. (minute to stop being modest) Oh, well, we deserved that.

Sincerely yours,

SAP University Alliances CIS
