Mobile Learning Showcased at #SAP TechEd Las Vegas

/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/codetalk_308996.jpgIt was a perfect match.

Intrepid SAP TechEd Social Media Reporter Ian Thain (formerly of Sybase, where he was Mobile Evangelist) was covering the Developer beat, and was on the prowl for good blogging and video fodder for the SAP CodeTalk video series shot live on the show floor over the course of SAP TechEd Las Vegas 2013.

And then there was SAP Education veteran Steve Hirsch, stationed at the SAP Training & Education pod with a new mobile learning app which he shepherded to market. He was itching to demo the new app, which is called SAP Learn Now; it lets you take select SAP solutions training on your device of choice.

Happily, these two gentlemen connected on site, and the resulting video is an entertaining and informative two-for-one:

  • 5 minutes of great discussion and Q&A between a mobility guru with a passion for training and a colleague with deep expertise in the field of training who has a passion for all things mobile
  • 5 minutes of a demo of SAP Learn Now, in which Steve gives us a glimpse of what a learner would experience when taking a course using this new app

You can follow Ian on Twitter @ithain, and you can follow me @Amsterdamsel. And if you’re planning to be at SAP TechEd Amsterdam, you can literally follow me, Ian and the rest of the SAP TechEd Social Media Reporter team as we hunt for good stories at the upcoming EMEA leg of the SAP TechEd 2013 tour.

I just went through the video... SAP LEARN NOW is so cool and much user friendly. Impressed with the SCN connectivity functionality (being on internet) from the app itself. And the best part is we need not to carry those heavy hard copies of sap course.

my question is, like for a particular course (@ sap education center) we usually get hard copy of  that course, Wont we get some soft copy? since this course will expire after 6 months...

      excellent work Steve Hirsch thanks.

      thanks Sarah Kellman  for sharing.

THanks for the good words, Jitendra -- I'm glad you enjoyed working with SAP Learn Now. I think you'll find that by the time your class expires, our policies will have changed, and all our content will be available via our revised SAP Education Learning Hub -- and expiration will have expired itself!
