On the first night of SAP TechEd Las Vegas, the ballroom at the Venetian was packed with developers and attendees to watch the American Idol of Techies, Demo Jam, go down. The room was filled with laughter, applause and awesome live demos. Even though that was nearly two full days ago, it’s still a popular topic across the #SAPTechEd Twitter stream.
Social reporter, Derek Klobucher, wrote a great Demo Jam wrap up blog, “#DemoJam Boldly Goes Where No #SAPTechEd Has Gone Before,” which was quickly spread across multiple Twitter profiles. @JuliaComms caught wind of the blog and tweeted a great sound bite: “Science fiction became a reality Tuesday night during #DemoJam: 6 teams competed at #SAPTechEd. Each team had to demonstrate its app in 6 mins.”
OnDemand sessions are quickly loading onto the sapteched.com site, including the Demo Jam winner clip. Laura Grant found the OnDemand link and tweeted to out to the SAP TechEd nation: “SAP Demo Jam Las Vegas Winner – Demo – ‘Store Trek’ | SAP TechEd Online [VIDEO] http://t.co/aC9BRkoyu3 #SAPTechEd.”
Mobile solutions and topics also filled up the Twitter stream. From live demos to lectures, SAP Mobile was quite a hit on the Show Floor. Martin Lang tweeted, “How we run mobile apps at @SAP @WolfgangHegmann explains it in depth #SAPTeched #SAPrunsSAP http://t.co/PIMUePgeID.” SAP Fiori was also among the many mobile conversations on Twitter today.
Take a look at some of today’s “hot tweets” on the third, and final, day at SAP TechEd Las Vegas:
