Is this an easy question to answer? Personally I am one of the ones who don’t have a degree and I have been pondering over this for some time now. I have met many people who do have degrees. Some successful and some not, then I look at myself. Have I been successful…

Maybe not as much as I would have loved to be. But then I am human and isn’t it human never to be satisfied with what you have.

Over the years, I have worked at one place for 10 years. Started at the very bottom and worked my way to medium level, then migrated to Australia. In Australia worked at a few places and then got a job where I am currently working since the past 9 years. Started at the bottom again and now I am a bit more than the mid level. All these year working at different places, I have met many people with double degrees who actually don’t really know things or how things work. When I got to know them is when I found they have only done the degrees because everyone else does it or their parents wanted them to get it. I have even met people whose job does not even revolve around the degree they have.

So does a degree determine if one is successful or not? Does getting a degree make a difference between living and existing? How many successful people out in this world don’t have a degree? What is the ratio between people without degree and successful and people with a degree and successful…

My dilemma is my next step in life is management. That’s my goal. Am I ready for this step? Sometimes I don’t feel like I am. I know I can do it. But feel not having a degree I lack the confidence. So the question should I go and do a degree? Would that be the important factor to success?

Please will appreciate your opinions. Positive as well as negative. So keep them coming.

Have a good day everyone.
