Came across an odd error when performing a  time slice either via RFC or a data import; and it was during the data deletion task in the receiver system.

I went through two different landscape scenarios and through various packages trying to narrow down the issue; here is how I was able to resolve the issue.  I am using TDMS 4.0 SP05 on all systems.

Landscape:

  • Central – Dedicated NW 7.40 SP04 stack
  • Control – Dedicated NW 7.40 SP04 stack
  • Sender – Production ECC
  • Receiver – New Dev environment

Now one would think at this point SM59 is the way to resolve the issue, in my case all of the RFCs continued to show no issues.  I started looking at the landscape section within TDMS and that also returned a green status.

This is actually a synchronization issue of the RFCs on the command and control system, and I actually had to go back to a previous step in the package to re-sync the RFCs and allow the data deletion to continue, this is found under the PEM tab.

After executing this step it will open a SAP GUI session to perform the work.

Put the password back into the items with the red dot and save your settings, another window will open asking for the password to be distributed to the systems again.  After placing the password into this screen, your RFCs are now sync’ed again.

Go back to your failing data deletion step and hit the execute button again, and TDMS will pick back up and continue through the rest of the package.
