Deep-Dive on Cisco UCS

Since the introduction of a revolutionary line of servers, called Unified Computing Systems, Cisco has been more and more active in providing computing platforms specifically designed for mission critical applications, virtualization and cloud deployment.  Cisco UCS is a server platform that unites compute, network, storage access, and virtualization into a cohesive system designed to outperform previous server architectures and increase operational agility and flexibility, while potentially dramatically reducing overall data center costs.

Cisco UCS Runs SAP HANA

Cisco UCS was one of the first hardware platforms certified for SAP HANA. Cisco has also announced and is selling SAP solutions on the UCS platform in a variety of solutions, those being SAP on Vblock with VCE (a joint venture with EMC and VMware) , SAP on FlexPod with NetAPP, SAP ERP on UCS, Precision Marketing for retail establishments on UCS, Suite on HANA on UCS, Sybase ASE on UCS. Cisco is also working very closely with SAP on SAP cloud solutions and improving how these solutions will benefit joint customers.
