1. Introduction

SAP Enterprise Portal comes with a set of standard predefined properties for each resource for example: created by, modified by. Sometimes we might require creating our own properties also. This blog explains how to add the new predefined properties to appear in the Search Options Screen of SAP Enterprise Portal.

Two main sections of this document are “Creating New Properties” and “Adding Predefined Properties to Search Option Screen” as shown below.

2. Creating New Properties

This section “Create New Properties” is already explained in my previous article published on SDN - Creating Predefined Properties in Knowledge Management - Step by Step Guide” .

3. Adding Predefined Properties to Search Option Screen

This section explains how to add predefined Properties to Search Option Screen in SAP Enterprise Portal

Go to System Administrator --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Content Management --> User Interface

Click on Show Advanced Options in “User Interface”

Click on Search +.

Click on “Search Options Set”

Select the 'UISearch' and click on Edit Button

Click on ‘Show All Object’ link to display all the properties under ‘Allowed Predefined Properties’

Select the newly created / required properties from the list shown in the above image.

 

Click on ‘OK’ button.

The newly added properties like approved, reviewed, printed are visible in the Search Option screen as shown below.
