SAP transaction KKO0, instead of calling traditional database, she calls to HANA to give her the sum of product costs for plant, product, group with a real time call to HANA back to user interface.

This is used not just for the traditional reports but use some of the BusinessObjects reports

Figure 2 shows the product cost model in HANA against the SAP ERP system.  It looks similar to other models, but only now it is against your SAP ERP data.

Figure 3 shows the ERP data in Analysis Office, which is a product cost variance report, you can slice and dice through more dimensions than the traditional product cost report.

Figure 4 shows BusinessObjects Explorer on HANA Product Costing

Probably Analysis Office would be better for the product controllers as they know Excel

Figure 5 shows a fast response time for 1.6 million records

She said there is acceleration for all reports in transaction KKO0, without the need to define aggregation or summarization objects.

You have the ability to do drilldowns whether use “classic” reporting or BusinessObjects tools

You have the ability to “interrogate”data
