In several cases we hit oracle error ora-600 and don't know exactly what to do, for such errors I've created a KBA #1868324 that will help you to check the error and how to proceed with analysis in such cases.

As per my experience I can say that most of the times such errors are related to oracle bugs, but note that this is not a rule, there are several other aspects that should be considered. First of all I would say that alert log and the involved trace are essential for any further analysis, without those files is quite difficult to find out what is going on so the first step is to grab this logs to have an idea about what is going on.

Other very important point is to check the involved argument that come together with the error, for example "ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kjbrasr:pkey]", this will lead us to know exactly what are next steps.

As most of the errors are related to oracle bugs it's always recommended to have latest SBP or patch collection in place, for supported releases please check following notes.

    #1431752 - Oracle 10.2.0: Patches / Patch collections for 10.2.0.5

    #1503709 - Oracle 11.2.0: Patches / Patch collections for 11.2.0.2

    #1631931 - Oracle 11.2.0: Patches / Patch collections for 11.2.0.3

Hope this information helps.

Best regards,

Jeisson Leonel
