CLIENT EXPORT AND IMPORT

Client copy can be done in different ways like local client copy, remote client copy and export / import method.

Go to transaction SCC8 in source client for creating request for client profile export from one client to another. And choose the profile to be exported.

Choose target system from list.

START IMMEDIATELY and click CONTINUE.

See the log in SCC3 and click on EXPORTS to see the export logs.

After Export gets completed Check the request number to be transported to other client in the Export Log.

Transport the request from OS level.

Goto to directory /sapmnt/trans/bin to transport the request to other client as given below.

Run Command

>> tp addtobuffer <Transport Request Number> <SID> pf=<TP Domain Name.PFL>

Goto to SCC7 for POST CLIENT IMPORT METHODS and START IMMEDIATELY and then click Continue.

MAINTAIN DEFAULT CLIENT ON LOGIN SCREEN

Change default client in /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/DEFAULT.PFL file. Use vi editor to maintain default client and take a restart of SAP R3 system.
