“Modified Date” column within UWL Configuration Content shows incorrect time
I would like to let you aware of a behavior which exists in the Universal Worklist Configuration Content administration UI of the UWL.
This application presents a table with the list of XMLs uploaded and effective for the UWL in the portal system. As shown in the image, there is a column with label “Modified Date”, which shows the date in which the XML configuration has been created or last modified.
The intention of this blog is to advise that in most of the releases, the date which is shown in this column is the UTC date without any timezone conversion. Due to this, the time in which a configuration is created modified will always reflect the UTC time related to the user locale.
In order to fix this and have the UWL to check for locale and timezone of the currently logged on user, SAP Note 1914076 must be applied. If one of those (locale and timezone of the currently logged on user) is not maintained, the system’s default locale and/or timezone will be used for displaying the XML’s modified date. Additionally the used timezone will be displayed in order to avoid confusion.
