Indian Crop Production Analysis with SAP LUMIRA

Brief about SAP Lumira , Whoare new to this product

Sap Lumira is new product Name of SAP Visual Intelligence (i.e. SAP VI In Short).This tool we can use for Data analysis
and Visualize the data without any technical back ground and scripting knowledge. We can
Analyze the data with different methods of charts and we can publish the content
easily even in Mobile devises.

Using SAP Lumira, you can connect to various data sources such as flat files,
relational databases, in-memory databases, and SAP Business Objects universes,
and can operate on different volumes of data, from a small matrix of data in a
CSV file to a very large dataset in SAP HANA, select and clean data, and
manipulate data.

We have SAP Lumira Functionality with SAP predictive Analysis product also. SAP
Predictive Analysis is a statistical analysis and data mining solution that
enables you to build predictive models to discover hidden insights and
relationships in your data, from which you can make predictions about future
events.

SAP Predictive Analysis inherits data acquisition and data manipulation
functionality from SAP Lumira.

Data Geek Challenge:

For this Data Geek challenge I have taken the data set which contains last 10 years
India Crop area and Production Data Set from link given in the SCN.

Data Set Analysis :

This Data set having all 10 years data of all states of India with districts wise season wise and crop wise production
and available Area in Hectares .

In this data set we have nearly 20 different Crops and 4 or 5 difference Seasons related to 25 States in India . And
nearly 400 Districts related to 10 years data (I.e. from 1999 to 2010) . We have measures   like Crop Area in Hectares and Production
Area in Hectares.

Below are the some questions I got answers from SAP Lumira with in few seconds!!  To the above data set. And 15 different Chars
I have tried with the data , within 15 minutes I got  beautiful answers with good colorful
visualization as below …    

So based on above questions and visualization
answers from sap Lumira we can  use for
any kind of data analysis from Small excel data set  to in memory data base like huge and
complicated  data sets from SAP HANA
and  Non SAP Data sets via BO Universe.
