The keynote address by SAP VP and general manager Eric van Rossum, head of Industry Business Unit Professional Services, highlighted how SAP innovations in mobile, Big Data, social media, and the cloud can help firms empower the front line to deliver even greater value to clients. “These four big trends build on and reinforce each other – and that means a lasting effect on our industry,” said van Rossum. Industry principal for SAP Professional Services Patrice Cappello agreed, adding: “SAP is committed to giving our customers the highest value through innovation without disruption.”
The SAP team was joined by executives from leading consulting and managed-services firms – including CSC, Deloitte, SuccessFactors, UST Global, and ZS Associates – many of whom shared how their firms are using the cloud and mobility to gain competitive advantage.
Attendees networked and exchanged ideas at roundtables and social events. One satisfied guest summed it up: “This is a great way to meet and share ideas with those running SAP at other consulting firms. We face a lot of the same challenges, so hearing how others have solved problems is very valuable. And SAP is so open to feedback – this is a great opportunity for them to gain insight into customer needs, feeding development of future products. There’s great potential for SAP to lead in this space, and events like this really support that goal.”
