24 professors representing 11 leading universities of 4 Russian cities joined SAP University Alliances CIS to face global SAP technology experts and share their vision on a number of exciting topics.
During the 1st day half of SAP HANA Council professors dived into top-management talks on SAP HANA market niche and benefits as well on development perspectives.
After it the dedicated UA CIS part followed. It was kicked-off with the welcome word by Gerd Oswald who introduced the importance of global UA team for the company and underlined its main focuses and Y2013 achievements. We all appreciated the opportunity to make the joint photo with Gerd and to personally thank him for warm care and attention he always puts to UA needs.
After the inspirational words from Gerd the UA CIS section guests got familiar with the new «LEARN | APPLY | SHARE | RECRUIT» approach with the specific emphasis to MOOC, Student E-Academy and HANA Enterprise Cloud. OpenSAP courses raised the overwhelming number of questions as the long-expected initiative from SAP UA. Bright moment to have more universities providing credits after SAP MOOC completion.
- Artem Sherekh, Mobile Technology expert, SAP CIS, returned audience attention to SAP HANA capabilities by delivering statistics and prognosis on mobile devices/applications usage which clearly demonstrated the phenomenon of big data and the self-evident need to manage it.
- VR Ferose, Head of Globalization Services, SAP AG addressed the professors on the Emerging Market Trends showcasing another source of big data – machine to machine technology.
- Alexander Martynov, Technology Expert from Co-innovation Lab, SAP CIS provided vivid, life-based examples on big data usage models in daily routine and stressed why real time data processing could be of vital importance.
- And closing the UA section Dmitry Armjakov, Managing Director, SAP Labs CIS, explained how big SAP interacts with independent innovators thru SAP Start-up Focus Program.
The evening SAP HANA Council continued with parallel expert discussions to open the window for massive Q&A.
