Social media users in account and contact
With CRM 7.0 for EHP3, SP01, the following is available:
- New assignment block “Social Media Users” in account and contact overview page.
This allows you to maintain social media users, such as Twitter or Facebook accounts, for an account / contact in SAP CRM, and by doing this having more valuable information availble. This can help, to get more innsight and and a better understanding of your customers and contacts.
- Report that updates social media user data in accounts and contacts with the data from the corresponding social networks, including the unique social user IDs. – Prerequisite: You need to implement interfaces to these social networks (find details in SAP Note 1832462).
Hint: By having the unique social user IDs you can link further information from the social networks with the account / contact data in SAP CRM.

Great stuff 🙂 Thanks for your share. I'm really interested in sociaI media integration and I have a question that I hope you will answer 🙂 . Will the assignment of social media users to accounts/contacts be carried out manually or will there be some kind of automatization (i.e. based on email address)?

Hello Engin,
The first time manually. But as soon as you have linked such a social media user to the right contact or account you can also use a report to update the social media user information on a regular basis. This is of course dependent on what data the social network data provider allows to pull from there.
