Short dump in SPRO and SUIM after upgrade to ECC 6.05

After we upgrade to ECC 6.06 from ECC 5.0 we found a serious problem. No access is possible to SPRO or SUIM transaction due to a short dump ILLEGAL_EVENT_COMBINATION.

We have made some search and found KB Article 1834690 – ILLEGAL_EVENT_COMBINATION short dump in transaction SPRO or SUIM.

As per this KB, SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 and 7.20 is no longer supported, and we need to upgrade our sapgui installation.

However we also found a ‘cheaper’ solution. Just implementing SAP note 1767225 External Drop funcionality in SPRO solve the issue.
