DSO – Finding Data of particular request id

Sometimes there are requirements form clients or other stakeholders (teams) to send the data/records of a particular request id.

Also, There are times when the data is activated and we can see the activated requests also. The data further travelled to Cubes for reporting. However due to Routines or summarization of records, there may be possibility of less number to records loaded into Cube than the number of records loaded into ODS and we have the requirement to compare the data of cube and ODS. This comparison should be carried out by individual request IDs.

There are also errors reported and reports of Cube and source system are different for 1 keyfield . Now we have to analyze the data that in which request id and which system the wrong data was sent to analyze the problem.

For this, we have to go to DSO and “Manage” option.

The “Requests” tab shows all the requests loaded for DSO and here we can see that all requests are activated and available for reporting.

In “Contents” tab;  we can see the 3 options as shown in screen.

New data table: Newly loaded data is available in new data table before activation of the DSO.

Change log table: After the activation of the request, changes are stored in change log table.

Active data table:  The data after the activation of the DSO is stored in the active data table.

Since all requests are activated; the data will not be available by “new Data” option (as in next screen in “Contents” tab).  Now the Data will be available in “Change Log” option for the request id.

Steps to get data of Activated Requests:

When the request is activated; PSA Request Number is generated. This number is required to fetch the data from DSO for a particular request ID.

From the “Requests” tab; Select the entry in “PSA Request Number Generated when Request is Activated”. This is all what is required.

Click on “Change Log”.
