Service Management – Activate Default Value for Current Date as Basic Date

Today’s lesson is another easy one, but could be very valuable if you use the basic date in the service order.  The basic date is one of the many dates in the service order.  Through configuration you can have this automatically set to be the current date.  If you do in-house repairs, this would be recommended to set this default.  If the plant purely does on-site service, it is not as useful.  With that being said, take a look at how easy this one is.

Here’s the location in configuration to setup this configuration.

You’ll notice not much here.  You can control it by plant.  Simply check the box if you want the current date to be defaulted into the basic date.
