Support Pack Check List

1 Check For Maintenance License
2 Download the recommended Patches
3 Check for the Executable drive space
4 Moves the Patches on the server
5 Extract the Kernel and Patches
6 Move the Patches to EPS/in
7 Backup old Kernel
8 Password For Basis client 000
9 Test import of Support Pack
10 Provide the list of TRs to Technical/Functional while test import
11 Make sure latest backup is completed
12 Mail to Security Team List of user IDs to be kept unlocked while Support Pack
13 Take the screen shot of old Kernel (disp+work at cmd)
14 Stop the SAP application
15 Move the Kernel to \usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\nuc or uc\NTAMD64
16 Start the SAP application
17 Take the screen shot of new Kernel (disp+work at cmd)
18 Run report BTCTRNS1
19 Run transaction SPAM and proceed with Patch upgrade.
20 Verify the Paches applied
21 Run report BTCTRNS2
22 Run SGEN transaction
23 Mail to Security Team to Unlock all the user IDs
24 Update all, Patching done for respective system.
25 Start New DB Backup
