SAP Agent Installation on SLES-for-SAP-Applications 11.2

Hello Community,

I strugeled now for several days installing a HANA System on SuSE Linux 11 SP2. Today I now discoverd the error

which causes the SAP Agent not to start.

After installing the SAP Agent and starting up via /etc/init.d/sapstart start i only got the following process

root     13479     1  0 21:41 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostexec pf=/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/host_profile

Also sometimes this errors message apears:

Impromptu CCC initialization by

See SAP note 1266393.

The essential hint then was in SAP Note 1310037 where it says:

SLES 11 (All versions):

For supporting the character set of certain languages on non-Unicode systems, additional code pages are needed. These are provided by the sap-locale.rpm package.

For details about how and when to apply these packages, please read SAP note: 187864.

After making changes to the “glibc” (e.g. through an update) you must reinstall the “sap-locale” RPM package.

You may reinstall the “sap-locale” package using the YaST2 Software Management (“Software” => “Software Management”).

So after installing the Package again and starting I got at least this processes where I can procced with the HANA Installation:

root     13479     1  0 21:41 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostexec pf=/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/host_profile

sapadm   13501     1  7 21:41 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/sapstartsrv pf=/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/host_profile -D

hanadm   13569     1  7 21:41 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sap/HAN/HDB00/exe/sapstartsrv pf=/usr/sap/HAN/SYS/profile/HAN_HDB00_vmcenter7 -D -u hanadm

root     13600     1  0 21:41 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saposcol -l -w60 pf=/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/host_profile
