Would you jump at the chance to sit down with the brightest of your peers, in a special setting? Or better yet, get access to some of the greatest minds on the global stage?  Retailers and leaders with global perspective are getting together at our Retail Forum and Leadership Summit, in Dallas TX, from October 7-9, 2013.
US, Canadian, and International retailers will be joined by leaders who will share how they are taking on global challenges and succeeding. These leaders are committed to raise the bar on:
  • Innovation
  • Effectiveness
  • Efficiency
CEOs and their colleagues are converging in Dallas to meet with amazingly talented global leaders, like General Michael Hayden (Ret'd.) who led the US Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency for many years.  General Hayden will share his perspective on leadership, and the global challenges we face.  The rapid change in the global environment has profound impact on the effectiveness of retail supply chains, efficient operations, and on how we must secure our organizations to do business in the nations where we hope to grow.
Innovation is at the heart of retail transformation. Innovations from SAP, our partners, and home-grown ideas formed by our industry colleagues are leading to outstanding results.  Growth results beating the National Retail Federation estimates are expected from many of our leading retailers.  Strategies to transform the customer experience, rework the supply chain, and innovation in omni-commerce are driving new levels of effectiveness.
You'll have the opportunity to hear from leaders like Simon Paris, Global Head of Strategic Industries for SAP, on the impact of SAP's strategy and how it can increase business value for you, while continuing to drive efficiency.
Tuesday morning also brings the Women's Leadership Breakfast session "Navigating Your Way to the Boardrrom: Women in Leadership Today."  Featured panelists will be Julie Roehm, senior vice president of marketing at SAP; Kristen Dearing senior vice president of marketing and alliances at Brierly+Partners; Kathy Leonard, CEO of Freeman+Leonard; and Jen Sey, Chief Marketing Office, Levi's Brand. We’ll explore topics about career advancement, the realities of glass ceilings, and using social media as a career tool.
Innovations in the mobile, social, and online worlds are yielding potential for 120-140% growth. We also see the transformation happening in the physical world around us.   We see retailers that wish to expand within our borders and to also expand internationally, and many new brands have joined the SAP family in the past year. Evidence for innovation in retail is arriving in new and exciting ways: wearable technology being one notable area. Marcelle Parrish of eBay Fashion, Carrie Whitehead of Zappos, and Brian Kilcourse of Retail Systems Research will ask where is retail heading, and share the innovative ideas they've developed.
Leaders from these innovative, effective, and efficient oranizations have taken steps to transform their business - come hear from them, engage with them, and share your experiences.
This is the best event of the year - and it is being held at the beautiful Dallas Westin Galleria, attached to one of America's most well-known shopping meccas.
