So, you've persuaded your boss to take the leap into social media. What now?
You probably have an executive sitting opposite you waiting for your guidance.
Here's what to do.
You are going to blog.
(If they are not sitting opposite you already, get a slot on your executive's calendar.)
Have a list of ideas for blogs ready. These ideas will be used as inspiration for your executive.
Some bosses will be confident enough to write a blog (shout out to Jonathan Becher). Some won’t be as confident and will need your help.
For this blog I am concentrating on those who need a little help.
Decide on the blog topic.
Get your executive to write down three key messages or bullet points to speak about.
Record your executive using the voice recorder function on your mobile device.
Don't allow your executive to speak for more than two minutes.
Upload the podcast.
Alternatively, press record on your mobile device and ask your executive three
questions. Either upload as a podcast or write an interview format blog.
If you do choose the interview format, don't forget to upload in your name.
Remember the mantra: ghostwriting is bad!
Once signed off by your executive, upload to SCN.
