Compaire Indian Rupees Vs USD for past some years
This blog describes about the Comparison of INR and USD from 1996.
When I checked my mission option, new surprise is Data Geek challenge, I was very much interested to participate into it with changes happening in INR now a days.
I have used a data available in WikiPedia at below link to doing data analysis. under section Historic Exchange Rates
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_rupee#cite_note-37
I have choose a SAP Lumira Cloud tool available at below link for uploading a data and perform the analysis.
Even though data is small and i am just started to use Lumira, it’s simple analysis i want to share i got using this tool, its really easy to use and simple too.

Dear Ganesh,
I have uploaded the csv & created dataset But I am not able to see the analysis of data in Bar chat as described in your post.
wat could be the reason?
Hi Mahesh,
Once you click on dataset, analysis screen will come automatically. Check which version of explorer using. It is not supported to Firefox and can work on Chrome and IE latest versions.
Are you able to get below screen? set X axis and Y axis objects.
Hi Ganesh,
I got it, One question
(1) Is the scope of this is limited to using/creating dataset only with csv or xslx files
(2) can we analysis our dimension & measure objects from Universe of Business Objects? I mean is it supports .unv files? or any other files formats
Thanks & Regards,
Mahesh
Hi Mahesh,
Yes for now i can see only option to using dataset with csv/xlsx If i see any more options i will share same. But currently i just able to explore this much. Its on cloud environment, you don't need any client and hence i like to check this tool and share with everyone.
Functionality come quite closer to Business Object Explorer.
Regards,
Ganesh
interesting analysis Ganesh Wathare. π
Hi, Lumira is an interesting tool and it is good to see how it can be used.
When comparing values over time it is useful to track the values from an initial base value as can be seen in this article : http://scn.sap.com/community/businessobjects-web-intelligence/blog/2010/12/02/trend-analysis-comparing-two-metrics-with-web-intelligence.
Do you know if it is possible to do this in Lumira?
Al
