I am really enjoying using the Data Services and Data Quality text data processing feature and the base entity transform, as it allows you go to from unstructured to structured data. We’re hearing more and more about “big data” and most of our data is unstructured, and Data Services gives us that capability of allowing us to analyze unstructured data.
This time, I decided this time to analyze the titles of the sessions for the ASUG BusinessObjects User Conference. First, I went to the site and downloaded to Excel (note this is all publicly available information):
I exported to Excel. Then I used that in Data Services with the Base Entity transform to analyze the titles with the PRODUCT entity.
I output that to Excel and then go to Lumira to analyze the products. With over 200 sessions, I only look at the top 12 below:
I was slightly surprised that the top title is SAP HANA, similar to my analysis at TechEd: A Closer Look at SAP TechEd Las Vegas Sessions using Data Services and Lumira
Of course the tag cloud shows clearly that SAP HANA is the most frequently mentioned product in the session titles.
I take this and publish to the Lumira Cloud:
A new feature is you can take the URL from Lumira Cloud and embed the URL somewhere else (no update required since it is in the cloud).
I copied mine to iGoogle like Christina did, but what was interesting is you can still explore in the cloud with the embedded URL. You can try this too at cloud.saplumira.com
End-to-End SAP Lumira: Desktop to On-Premise, Cloud, and Mobile – session at the BusinessObjects User Conference with Ashish Morzaria
SAP Lumira Cloud: True Self-Service BI Without The Server session at the BusinessObjects User Conference with Christina Obry
ASUG will have a TechEd hands-on pre-conference session featuring all the products listed above, including BI4.1 hands on with Lumira, and more on Monday, October 21st:
