Earlywatch alert setup (Solution Configuration)
CONFIGURATION OF NEW SOLUTION FOR EARLY WATCH ALERT
IN SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1
Reason
you want to configure EarlyWatch Alerts for your configured systems in solution manager.
Pre-requisites
you must have one or more configured system(s)
procedure
Follow the below highlightened steps and instructions to configure a proper solution for EarlyWatch Alert
Login to your SOLUTION MANAGER system
Go to Transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER
Go to Tab SOLUTION MANAGER ADMINISTRATION
click on SOLUTIONS
click on NEW
Give the name as desired >>Here it is test solution
>>SAVE SOLUTION
Now the screen appears something like this.
Click on SOLUTION DIRECTORY
The system prompts to open or save a file.
Click on OPEN and wait for some time till the file is opened.
the navigation role would be Product system by default.
and in the SOLUTION SETTINGS, leave the default settings undisturbed. (this settings can be changed according to your requirement if required.)
click on SYSTEM GROUP
Now to add a system
Click on POSSIBLE ENTRIES tab as shown above
when the list of entries appear. Press ctrl+f (to find your system)
In find column >> give the name of the configured system for which you want to recieve the EarlyWatch Alerts.
select the option SYSTEM. >>FIND
Once the system appears>> tick the check box
similarly you can find and tick all the systems in one go or separetely
finally press OK as shown above.
all the systems you selected to configure must appear here.
In above example there is only one system since i selected only one.
Finally click on SAVE to save your solution.
one the save is complete, get back to the first screen i.e
solution manager administration >>solutions>> select the newly created solution>> solution data settings >> send all data
CONGRATULATIONS. YOU HAVE CONFIGURED NEW SOLUTION FOR EARLY WATCH ALERTS
YOU WILL BE RECEIVING THE EWA FOR YOUR SYSTEMS FROM NEXT WEEK (DEFAULT ON MONDAY)
A very informative document. Will be very useful.
But i think it should be configured solutions for early watch and not early watch in the last line.
