Introduction

The document provides the settings and process to be followed to enable delta data upload of Transportation Management data from TM 9.0 system to BW. The SAP TM has different settings to be enabled to process the delta data to BW.

Configurations and Pre-settings required for the delta data upload defined in this document.

Ø  SAP NetWeaver 7.3, Business content 7.37 SP04

Ø  TM 9.0 source system has to be created in the BW system.

Ø  RFC connections have to be established between TM and BW system.

Ø  TM Datasources should be replicated in BW system.

Ø  All TM related BI objects has to be installed from Business content.

Ø  TM data targets should have been scheduled with full data load in BW.

TM Standard datasources

Below are the standard TM 9.0 Transactional datasources which requires the delta initialization.

Initialization of Delta Process in BW

Once full data is loaded from TM datasources in BW the further task would be uploading the delta records for which delta initialization should be scheduled firstly in BW system.

Go to the respective infopackage of the datasource in BW (e.g., 0SCM_TM_TOR as in the next screen shot) and initialize the delta process.

Once delta initialization is performed for the TM datasources in BW system the datasources can be seen in Delta queue with zero records in TM system.

Enabling Delta Data upload in TM

To enable delta data upload from SAP TM to BW few settings have to be adopted for below Business objects in SAP TM system.

Ø  Transportation Order (TOR)

Ø  Transportation Request (TRQ)

Ø  Freight Settlement (FSD  i.e., SFIR)

Ø  Forwarding Settlement ( FWSD i.e., CFIR)

Ø  Transportation Allocation (TAL)

Ø  Business Share (BSH)

Delta data upload should be enabled for above mentioned business objects in Maintain Output Management Adapter Settings highlighted in below customization screenshot.

Choose the Direct Output Agents (w/o PPF & w/o History) highlighted below. Select TOR_BW_EXTRACTION and choose details tab highlighted in the below screenshot.

Select the Enable checkbox.

Once the lifecycle status is set to Complete and we have saved the business document the system writes the data from TM business objects to the delta queue.

Check the Delta Queue

Go to Delta queue monitor RSA7 we can see 13 records added as delta data. Select the datasource 0SCM_TM_TOR choose display data entries to view the delta records.

Select the delta update and check.

We can see the delta data uploaded for 0SCM_TM_TOR

Similarly select the Enable check box for below TM agents in Direct Output Agents (w/o PPF & w/o History)   and check the delta queue for the business objects mentioned in above section of this document.

Ø  TRQ_BW_EXTRACTION

Ø  SFIR_BW_EXTRACTION

Ø  CFIR_BW_EXTRACTION

Ø  BSH_BW_EXTRACTION

Ø  TAL_BW_EXTRACTION

Schedule the Delta load to PSA and Data target in BW

Schedule the infopackage of that TM datasource in BW system for the delta records. Check the delta records in PSA highlighted in below screenshot.

We can see the 13 delta records loaded to PSA.

Execute the DTP of the related data target of datasource highlighted in left-hand side in below screen, we can see the request processed with 13 delta records transferred into BW data target.

Alternately the Standard TM metachains and process chains related to respective datasources can be scheduled for timely update of delta records to BW from SAP TM.
