SAP Passenger Travel Customer, STM, is a Finalist for the SuperNova Awards from Constellation Research
Passenger transportation and retail marketing come together to form a great solution for Société de transport de Montréal (STM) – the 4th largest public transit organization in North America. This is SAP Precision Marketing reaching the customer on a mobile application tuned for the passenger travel industry. STM calls their solution STM Merci and it enables businesses throughout Montreal to connect with its 1.2 million daily riders, providing them personalized, relevant geo-localized offers in real time straight to their mobile devices – watch more here.
Passenger (rider) adoption continues to grow and passengers are showing their willingness to share profile information in exchange for high value offers – over 50% of all users have completed their profile and preferences. Large volumes are making this marketing channel relevant to merchants, as more than 900,000 offers have been sent. The top 10 offers enjoy an overall conversion rate of up to 33%, and on average, 24% of the coupons seen by passengers are validated – well beyond the rates achieved through traditional marketing channels.
This initiative has drawn some great recognition, and STM was recently selected as a finalist for a Constellation Research SuperNova Award in 2 categories – Digital Transformation and Next Generation Customer Experience.
