We had a great time in Minneapolis spending all day learning from the real experts in HANA, the HANA Distinguished Engineers. We had more than 50 people present, eager to learn the latest, and another 200 at various points online, in a day graciously hosted by our friends at Medtronic, and sponsored by Cisco and EMC.
If you are planning to come to SAP TechEd Las Vegas in October, be sure to sign up for the HANA Distinguished Engineer pre-conference Deep Dive (sorry, no streaming will be available). If you can’t make it to Vegas, stay tuned for more HANA Deep Dives on various topics in the future – as always, they will be free in person, streamed live, and made available in recorded form!
In case you weren’t able to attend our HANA Deep Dive, or even if you were but want a refresher, we started out the day with Werner Steyn covering modeling in SAP HANA.
Here’s part 1 of Werner’s presentation:
And here is part 2:
Then, we had lunch, sponsored by Cisco and EMC (who was gracious enough to raffle off an iPad!).
After that, Kiran Musunuru and Steve Teichman from Medtronic, one of the very first HANA customers, gave us an overview of Medtronic’s use of SAP HANA.
Then, Rich Heilman covered ABAP for HANA and SQLScript:
And finally, we wound up the day with Thomas Jung covering the XS Engine in SAP HANA:
Again, thanks to everyone that participated, and I hope you all will join us again for the next HANA Deep Dive!
