EMRU for Windows 8 has been developed in close relationship with Microsoft, profiting from either side in regards to UI Design, Mobile SDK, Hardware Performance and much more. See a demo video here:
The native Windows 8 app specifically makes use of Microsoft mobile technologies like Semantic Zoom or Snap Views to perfectly integrate into the Windows 8 user experience. We suggest running the mobile application on i5 (or greater) driven hardware, while Atom devices might run into some performance issues, like we have experienced during development and testing.
In the current stage the mobile client is sparing out a few minor features in regards to it’s counterparts on iOS and Android, but all major functionalities have been integrated or even improved.
If you are already running iOS or Android EMRU clients, the Windows 8 client will run out of box against your integrated backends. See a customer testimonial from Basel (German only).
While Microsoft ist planning a launch event in November this year, linked with their Microsoft Store opening in Berlin, the app can already be downloaded from the Microsoft Store.
