Adding  and ABAP system to Solution,

As a prerequisite for adding an ABAP system to a Solution the ABAP system should be available in SMSY

As the next step at least one product instance be marked as relevant, in this case we are making SAP ECC Server as relevant. For doing the same in edit mode mark SAP ECC server as Relevant,

As a next step a product version need to assigned to the system and has to mark as active, for doing the same switch to “Header Data” tab

Enter the description and mark the system as Production, and then select “Change Product Assignmt”

In this case give product as “SAP ERP” and “SAP ERP 6.0” as Product Version and click on Copy, Under Installed Product Versions mark SAP ERP active and save the entries.

The next step is defining a Logical Component and adding the system to that logical component.

In order to define a logical component, you should navigate to “System Groups and Logical Components” in SMSY

Expand “Logical Components” and relevant product and product version, in this case it is “SAP ERP” and “SAP ECC Server”

Right click on the product version(SAP ECC Server) and “Create New Logical Components”, a new window will be opened where you could specify the details of your logical component.

Fill in the details and save and you have your logical component registered.

The next step is adding the system to Logical component, for doing the same select the logical component in this case ZAPLX_ERP and under “Current System Assignments” browse and add the systems under relevant system type.

Select appropriate system <SID:CLIENT> and save the entries.

Next step is to add the system to a solution, in this case we will be adding the system to the solution “Applexus ERP Solution”.

Switch to edit mode and add the Logical Component to the solution,

Save the changes and you have your system added to the solution.
