Consumer expectations change, and companies need to answer questions shown in Figure 1.

Data is doubling every 18 months,  says SAP and companies need to be more customer-centric.

Figure 2 shows that Lumira is a subset of Predictive Analysis.  Note that you cannot install both pieces of software on the same machine. If you have access to both, I recommend installing Predictive as with Predictive you also get Lumira.

Figure 3 shows you can load your data to Predictive, use the Lumira features to enrich and then apply the Predictive models.

Figure 4 shows you can run Predictive in stand alone mode or with SAP HANA and the BI Platform.

Figure 5 shows the main user for Predictive is the business user and not so much for the data scientist.

Stephane discussed looking at who are your  customers, use Predictive to help segment customers,  and target those customers in real-time, personalized promotion.

Telco companies have churn issues, need to retain customers so they must know customer exactly; they can offer a personalized promotion

CIR Foods, an Italian company, wanted to gain internal efficiency and autonomy for  planning and hiring.  Based on historical data , they could predict whether they need more people in restaurant A or B.

Velux , a world- wide company , guarantee windows for 25 years.   So an accruals process is necessary for this and predicting these amounts.

An airline uses Predictive for maintenance and spare part optimization to increase productivity and profitability, says SAP.

At the end of the webcast, he said that SAP Predictive Analysis is almost one year old
