You may got error “cannot add status profile to item category” when you try to enter a status profile to an item category on GUI.

This is because you have not define the object type of the status profile properly so that it can be use for item category.

Follow the instruction below.

1, Go to status profile and click on Object Types


2, Check CRM Order Item.
