If you asked me 2 weeks ago what's SAP Lumira all about, I couldn't answer that question. I never heart about it and didn't have any clue what it was.

Until I bounced into the Data Geek Challenge.

My main SAP activities are SAP PI/PO and Solution Manager and so, I wanted to do something with those systems.

A question I often get from customers is how many messages were processed within a specific time frame or from or to a specific sender or receiver party.

The answer is: please have a look at the SAP PI/PO message monitor or check the Runtime Workbench.

For a lot of end users, this is not an easy task and they want relevant information in a blink of an eye.

That brought me to the idea to push monitoring data(*) into SAP Lumira.

When you have the message status overview, you can export data to Excel.

Take that Excel and import that into SAP Lumira.

Remark:

I will not repeat all the steps necessary to import an Excel sheet into SAP Lumira and create graphical magic with it.

This is already explained several times in numerous blogs within this space.

The result is phenomenal. Within a few minutes (the first time is a bit hard to figure it all out) you get this:

The examples above are just some try outs. You have many other possibilities, but this is just to show you what SAP Lumira can do.

If I have some time left in the near future, I will definitely try something with technical monitoring data from SAP Solution Manager.

(*) the system I used for this is a SAP PO 7.31, single stack
