Getting Familiar with Query Stripping Options on BI4.1 Web Intelligence

This blog FAQ about SAP BI4 WebIntelligence on HANA has a great explanation of what query stripping is and why you would want to use it.  You want to consider query stripping for fast reporting and not bring unnecessary data (thus adding time) to your report.

In this video I review the options to set query stripping at the document level and query level against a BEx query using Web Intelligence.

I will look at doing this against the universe next, which is a new feature in BI4.1

In addition to your blog: From Webi 4.0 Service Pack 5 and up the Query Stripping options are checked by default when you use a BEx Query as a data source.

Good to hear; I am noticing in BI4.1 it is defaults at the document level too with a universe as a data source but not the same behavior - I am still looking at it.
