The one-stop shop for all SAP Solutions
As an intern at SAP the amount of solutions offered to customers seems endless. With solutions in 25 industries, covering all LoB, there seems to be a solution for everything. In the chemical industry alone there are four solutions that focus on product innovation, three that focus on supply chain complexity, five that focus on finance and the list goes on and on.
Fortunately, SAP has created the SAP Solution Explorer. This interactive, and honestly fun to use, dashboard allows you to explore solutions by industry, LoB and technology. When visiting the website you are greeted by this friendly dashboard:
At this point you can choose which industry you want to explore. When doing so the dashboard automatically tells you which responsibilities and technologies are relevant for the selected industry. For example, let’s take the chemical industry and look at IT Management.
When selecting this combination the dashboard tells us there are five solutions offered for IT Management in the chemical industry. By clicking on the button to ‘explore the solutions’ you are brought to what I think is the most comprehensive overview of all solutions offered by SAP.
Organizing all solutions by LoB and function, the value map for chemicals gives you the one-stop shop for all SAP solutions in the chemical industry. By clicking on the “All Solutions for your selection” text you can even narrow down this map to only show solutions based on your previous criteria. Then by further clicking on a specific solution you can view solution details, access related documents, and browse through various services offered. This dashboard truly tells you all you need to know about each and every single SAP solution.

It has helped me immensely as I strive to learn more about SAP and the solutions we offer.
