This Document will explain , how we can create a webi report as webservices which could be used in any application with minimum coding.

Step1. create a simple report block  and activate the show BI services checkbox.

you can find this in right side above page navigation.

Step 2. Export this report to CMS after saving .We could only make Webservice from Reports in CMS . only Rich client tool in XI 3.1 is capable of creating Webservice.

Step3. Import from CMS the required report and select the block.Please note that Host server (BO SERVER) should be selected and disable the use session checkbox.

click on Manage Webservice and produce the URL which is related to dsdw webapplication (webservice) .green check will show that url is correct and application is able to connect to dsdw service.

Select the block and right click and select publish block context.

Click next

select check box share report content for all consumers. we can select the required field which need to publish from filter button. click next.

check if session is unchecked for host server.

next.

Click create

click Ok

check the right pane of web service publisher. we can see BI web service folder created , if its your first report published.

Click on the Webservice name SALESMGR  to get the url of webservice, which could be consumed in other application.

Please note that proper rights should be available for user for publishing content in CMS for creating services.

this webservices url could is easily consumed .
