Analysing the 2012 Summer Olympics medals with SAP Lumira
As part of my participation in How to Join The Data Geek Challenge.
I used the medal table in the wikipedia:

All Countries medals distribution:
Top 5 Countries (Gold Medal):
Top 5 Countries (Sum of all medals):
Medals from Brazil:
Very easy, fast and nice to analyse the data using this tool! 🙂
Checking this data I do not think Brazil will perform well in the next Olympics (2016, Rio). 🙁
Update 20/08/2013
Checking some other Lumira blogs I liked the tag cloud chart (total of medals) and decide to include here 😆

If I remember correctly Jason Lax has instructed people to reupload the pictures in such cases.
Hello,
I just upload the pictures again. Are you able to see it?
Regards,
Eduardo
Thanks Anita Yuen, Tammy Powlas, Durgamadhab Mishra and Samuli Kaski to let me know about this issue.
Yes, I see the pictures now (IE9).
Thank you for re-uploading.
Yes I see them in Chrome too and thank you Anitay Yuen for noticing!
Looks great. Thank you for re-uploading the images!
Thanks for re publishing Eduardo. I can see the picture as well.
Also thanks for sharing this wonderful Lumira solution ; I just started few months back working on Lumira and I have been looking for some type of generalized scenario to demo a customer on the tool capabilities. This would be certainly helpful.
Thanks!!
Durga
The tool is very nice and easy to use.
In few minutes you can have a "visual" of your data.
Yes, it is indeed. Personally the feature I like most is the ability to merge data and Geo-Pie chart. This is one flagship feature that I am yet to see on any other BI tools I have used yet. I hope SAP would bring some more Hybrid feature like it with some level of location awareness built into it.
Hi Eduardo,
Above analysis is really interesting.
Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks a lot!
Very creative 🙂
And I agree with you, looking at this I don't believe we'll do well in 2016 Olympics as well 🙂
Thanks Dani.
Let's hope for the best! 😆
