Expand the width of the Interactive text field dynamically based the text entered in SAP Adobe Interactive forms

First of all, the Form Properties has to be set for Interactive forms. i.e. Preview Adobe XML Form has to be changed from ‘Static PDF Form’ to ‘Dynamic XML Form’ as we will the entering the text in Print preview.

Steps to change the preview type

• In the ‘Layout’ tab of SFP transaction (Change mode), select ‘Form Properties’ from the Edit menu

• In the ‘Preview’ tab, select ‘Dynamic XML Form’ and then save it.

Expand the Interactive field ‘Horizontally’.

• In the Layout Palette, select ‘Expand to Fit’ for Width. Character length can be limited to some value by entering the length in ‘limit length – Ex: Characters 60’ in Object Palatte.

• Save, Activate and Test.

Expand the Interactive field ‘Vertically’.

• In the Layout Palette, select ‘Expand to Fit’ for Height. Character length can be limited to some value by entering the length in ‘limit length – Ex: Characters 60’ in Object Palatte.

• As we will have multiple lines, ‘Allow Multiple lines’ need to be checked for Vertical expansion of text field.

• Save, Activate and Test.
