Ecenta AG has recently published on the SAP Store an app intended for service and maintenance personnel. Service Issue Management is fully SAP-certified in the framework of the SAP Mobile Apps Partner Program and thus uses the SAP Mobile Platform.

Typically, service engineers are confronted by the need to manually enter a lot of data while being on-site – which is very time consuming and error prone. In addition (and as a result of that), a lot of the service data in the CRM backend may be outdated.

With the ecenta mobile app, the service engineer can process the service request online and offline, and even use the built-in camera of the  mobile device to capture QR-codes attached to the equipment – this reduces processing time and increases data quality. The camera can also be used to take pictures of the defective equipment, which can directly be attached to the service requests and synchronized with SAP CRM. The mobile app comes with an intuitive, easy to understand user interface.

 

The result? Reduced time to create service requests, reduced downtime of production equipment and improved customer satisfaction – as service processes have speeded up and downtime of production equipment is reduced.
