Seventy professors from 52 SAP University Alliances member schools across the Americas participated in four days of train-the-trainer oriented coursework at the University Alliances North America Summer 2013 workshops at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, July 9-12, 2013. Participants gained hands on experience with the latest solutions in SAP’s innovation platform…SAP HANA, Analytics, and Mobile. The workshops were hosted by the Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which as always did an outstanding job supporting the professors.

Ross Hightower (left), University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee led the SAP HANA workshop, using materials from Lorraine Gardiner of California State University, Chico who was unable to attend at the last minute due to an injury. Thank you Ross for stepping in with three days’ notice to lead the workshop!

Dave Haseman, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee led the SAP Mobile workshop. Participants were introduced to updated 2013-2014 version of the curriculum and software which is tied to the new SAP Press book – Mobile Development for SAP.

Nitin Kale, University of Southern California, led the Analytics workshop. Participants were introduced to SAP BusinessObjects and SAP Crystal analytic applications with a focus on hands-on exercises covering end user analytics. The workshop feature new curriculum using SAP Predictive Analysis.

Professors enjoyed numerous networking opportunities throughout the four day workshop event, sharing best practices for teaching with SAP and University Alliances curriculum and meeting like-minded colleagues for collaboration in innovating the use of SAP software in their courses.

“I appreciated learning about SAP Mobile Platform, and gaining experience developing mobile applications. This is an important area for our students, helping them understand how enterprise data can be accessed by mobile workers in a secure way with workflows and screens that enable a pleasing user experience.” Yvonne Antonucci, Widener University.

“Thank you for providing these workshops. I am new to SAP and University Alliances, and I am pleased to be able to learn about SAP HANA and Predictive Analytics from SAP. This cutting edge topic will help our students better prepare for today’s jobs. Our campus looks forward to our partnership with SAP!” Patrick Hogan, Columbus State University.
