Ever heard of SAP HANA Hub? It might be the new name for HANA Cloud Integration
Recently, I read a forum post on the SAP HANA site entitled “Direct link to HANA Cloud Integration temporarily unavailable”. Nothing out of the ordinary until I saw the URL that was described in the post: https://hmp-6r-1un65.saphanahub.com.
I had always assumed that HANA Cloud Integration would be run under the “hana.ondemand.com” URL.
I did a little a digging and found that the DNS entry “SapHanaHub.com” was recently registered by SAP Labs.
Registrant:
SAP Labs
Domain servers in listed order:
NS-1403.AWSDNS-47.ORG
NS-1757.AWSDNS-27.CO.UK
NS-608.AWSDNS-12.NET
NS-394.AWSDNS-49.COM
So, it looks like we may be in for another name change in SAP’s cloud offerings.
The name change – if true – is a bit strange since Mulesoft already has a cloud-based integration product called “CloudHub”.
You got too much free time 😉
Getting out a few blogs before I leave for my long summer vacation 😉
LOL, Detective Dick is at it again!
Thanks for sharing 🙂 .
Hi Dick,
I'm part of the SAP HANA Cloud Integration Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI) and they have not mentioned anything about this. I wonder if it is more like a central portal for SAP HANA services? The last session we had for the CEI was about the web UI and access - I didn't catch the URL but I wonder whether it's just an entry point for customers.
Interested to see how this one goes. Enjoy your vacation!
Cheers,
Luke
Seems SAP didn't go a "HANA Hub" way as site https://saphanahub.com/
shows following error:
This transaction encountered an error:Internal Server Error.
Please contact us at: cloud@sap.com
So "Hub" trademark stays with mulesoft though 🙂
cheers
