BI4.1 Creating a Universe using OData as a Data Source

Following this What is new in the Semantic Layer and the Information Design Tool BI4.1 – Part 1 figure 9 shows that OData can be used as a data source in the BI4.1 Information Design Tool.

I thought I would give it a try, using the new Universe Wizard, which is also available in BI4.1

I think the hardest part was finding where the OData connector was; initially I looked under Microsoft but searching for OData helped find it under generic data sources.

Hi Tammy - thanks for this video.. I have been able to follow and everything seems to work, for the most part.

I have a question... in the odata service I am consuming, the end point contains a required input parameter... so when I test the call to the service end point that does not contain a required input parameter it is working fine, however, when the end point has a required input parameter, I get an error because the IDT tool inserts $top=200 between the end point and the  req input parameters... do you know how to get rid of the $top=200 ???

I am using IDT 4.2 - but I believe this ought to be very similar..

      thank you in advance, Sergio

Hi Sergio - thank you for reading
I am not a topic expert on the semantic layer
Would you please create a new question for this at answers.sap.com and reference this thread?
