What’s in the new EDISeparator adapter version (valid since 28.06.2013)?

This document is based on OSS Note 1879481 and gives an overview of the corrections and improvements of the EDISeparator adapter. Together with this OSS Note, please take OSS note 1871669 into account.


  • CONTRL message version can be the same as the version of the incoming EDI interchange. Initially, only version D:3 was available.

  • Availability of the advanced tab (to put in additional parameters and to activate/inactivate the communication channel)
  • Message type of incoming EDI interchange can be determined freely

Remark
The CONTRL message was produced without any change to the structure SAP ships within the B2B add-on content.

      Earlier it was only possible select Message Type from whatever was shipped.

      The Message Type free text support has been added so that an end user can enter any customized Message Type which they create. Customized message types can be created using the Message Editor UI of the EDI Content Manager.

      For example hypothetical message type "ROCKON" is created. This is not shipped by SAP but now it can be added as a free text.
