Explorer – Information Space Creation(for beginners)

Hi All,

This document is not for the experts here, but for the beginners like me…

Explorer – Information Space Creation

Login as as administrator and save the info space in public folder if it is to be viewed by other users also.

Information Space Creation – Launch Explorer

Go to Manage Spaces (on top)

Select the universe on which the info space is to be created and click on New (on top)

Give a meaningful name to the space and select any folder under public folders to save it.

In Objects tab there will be a measure ‘Occurrences’ by default, remove it if not needed. Select it and click on the left arrow in the page.

Select the measures u want. You can Ctrl click to select more than one measure at a time.

At least one measure is needed in info space (with aggregation).

Select the dimension you want and can create facet groups if wanted.

And can rename it (For instance here facet group is renamed as Geo and zone, region and branch are dragged under it.

Also the order of the objects can be changed. Here the region is brought above the branch. For that you can use the up and down arrow key in the page.

Also calculated measure can be created.

Validate then.

If no error

Schedule it accordingly.
