For those who haven't already started it the https://open.sap.com/about/opensap site gives a fantastic opportunity to watch professional and easily accessible lectures from the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI - http://www.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/). This is a good development and shares some tenets with the SAP Community Network (SCN) - where people who are genuinely interested in the industry they work in can learn more about the newer technologies SAP is producing.

This trend toward more free educational content is a terrific thing, especially in an age where third-tier (speaking specifically as someone in the UK) education is getting more and more expensive.

Personally I've been aware of this developing trend for roughly 3 or 4 years even since I watched some free basic computer science lectures from Australia's University of New South Wales (UNSW - http://www.youtube.com/user/UNSW), which has some fantastic courses all delivered free as well.

Here's hoping that this trend continues to complement the many forms of more structured educational institute courses - I believe both have a key role.
