General Election In India by Vamshidhar Mitta

Hi,

In this post i would like to show how i made analysis of General Elections of 2009 in india for Loksabha. I used SAP LUMIRA for this.

First i Acquired the Data from a CSV.

Once data is acquired i used Rename option to change the Column name to more meaningful.

Created a Measure On Margin column.

Now i will create Geographic Hierarchy which will be usefull to Visualize on the Charts.

This is how it looks after Geo Hierachy is created.

Now i go to Visualize and Create geographic chart.

I have applied filter on State for AndhraPradesh.

Each Bubble on the chart shows the City (Constituency),Winninig Candidate, the Party he belongs to and the Margin of Votes.

By Chaning the Filter i am able to see the Constituencies which are not of GeneralCategory for the whole INDIA.

This is how i made Analysis of 2009 election using SAP Lumira. It is very simple and not much skill is required.
