Custom Label Add-on with Tooltip for BusinessObjects Dashboards 4.0 – A Panel as Tooltip
This is again continuation of my previous posts where I shared a custom label addon having tooltip for BusinessObjects Dashboards 4.0 SP3 or higher. For them who missed the earlier posts:
Here comes the third version of the same with a new tooltip style: A Panel as Tooltip. There are provisions for selecting panel color and background color, panel size and panel header text.
The General and Behavior tabs again stay the same as in earlier versions. In Appearance tab, the new tooltip style has been added along with the adjustable properties.
How does the new style look like in the canvas ?
Latest version of the full flex project(Version 3) along with the add-on(xlx) file is available here for download.
For more interesting add-ons, visit the wiki page SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards 4.0 Add-On Gallery.
Happy dashboarding 🙂
Great stuff. It is great to see the product mature as you did....Thanks.
Just my 2 cents: it would be even more useful to have push buttons with tool tips. Usually we want users to know what they are doing by performing an action, not reading labels.
In any case, appreciate what you did and great contributions to this community.
Thanks Peter Chen . Here is the push button component with custom tooltip. Hope you'll find it useful.
Hi Arijit
Great One!!!
But I am unable to download the same from https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-153094
I am logged in. It says " Accessing this feature requires agreeing to the terms of use"
When I click on Code Exchange Terms of Use it says " You have already accepted the Code Exchange Terms of Use and your request is being processed. You can download them here for your reference."
I cannot see any downloadable file there.
Also tried in
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/SAP+BusinessObjects+Dashboards+4.0+Add-On+Gallery
Same thing happens...
Please help me...
Thanks
SAndeep
Hi Sandeep,
You need to register in code exchange. It can take 24 hours to activate the account. Once the code exchange terms of use page comes, click on login and after the login, close the window. Then follow the link again and you will get the download page.
This is, I know, a confusing process. But I could not find any other option to upload a zip file.
Please let me know if you are able to access it. Otherwise, I need to find some other way to upload the same.

Hi Aijit
I went to the link http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/SAP+BusinessObjects+Dashboards+4.0+Add-On+Gallery
There I can see the links to add-ons. But When I click on the link it takes me to a page saying "Accessing this feature requires agreeing to the terms of use." and a link to Code of Exchange is there. When I click on the link it says " You have already accepted the Code Exchange Terms of Use and your request is being processed. You can download them here for your reference."
I can't see any login option. Am already logged in.
Thanks
Sandeep
Hi Sandeep,
Once you follow the link, you probably getting a page like below(open the page in a new tab/window):
Click on Login and you will be logged in automatically.

Arijit
Hi
When I click on the link I am directed to page saying "Accessing this feature requires agreeing to the terms of use." and a link to Code of Exchange is there. When I click on the link it says " You have already accepted the Code Exchange Terms of Use and your request is being processed. You can download them here for your reference."
I am not able to see login option in any of the page.
Thanks
Sandeep
It naturally takes 24 hours to activate an account in code exchange. May be the request is still not processed.
Hi Arijit,
Even after 24 hours I'm not able to see the login option.
Thanks,
M.Sumesh
Then let me check if SAP has stopped new registration in Code exchange. I guess they are upgrading to a new version. Let me explore other ways to share these codes. Once done, I shall update the blog accordingly.
Thanks for understanding. Any new idea from you people to share these in SCN will be much appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Arijit
OK..Thanks Arijit...........
The download link has been updated. If you are unable to access Google Drive drop me mail at ari007.cse@gmail.com.
Thanks and Regards,
