Maximize your investment in SAP Screen Personas: Free Practitioner Forum (best practices)

July 2015 update: We now have a dedicated practitioner forum for SAP Screen Personas 3.0. This is on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.

If you have purchased SAP Screen Personas and want to learn how to maximize your return on investment, I would like to invite you to a free SAP Screen Personas practitioner forum.

Register now for the SAP Screen Practitioner Forum.

This monthly series is designed to help you drive successful deployment of SAP Screen Personas in your organization. We are opening this forum only to selected SAP customers and SAP subject matter experts.

This is not a replacement for the standard support channels, but an opportunity to share best practices, techniques, and shortcuts that will allow you to be more productive with SAP Screen Personas. The goal is for customers to communicate with each other in an open format.

In every monthly session, each practitioner will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences, or simply listen to the other participants. Members (including SAP) should not pitch their products or services. There may be guest speakers on technical topics relevant to the audience. Here is what we accomplished in 2014.

SAP Screen Personas 3.0 SAP Screen Personas 2.0
The SAP Screen Personas 3.0 practitioners forum will meet for one hour every month on the third Wednesday of the month at 11AM Eastern time (8AM Pacific, 4PM UK, 5PM CET). The SAP Screen Personas 2.0 practitioners forum will meet for one hour every month on the second Wednesday of the month at 11AM Eastern time (8AM Pacific, 4PM UK, 5PM CET).

We are tried a parallel SAP Screen Personas practitioners forum at a time more suitable for customers in Asia for three months in 2014, but discontinued it due to poor attendance.

All logistics, minutes, and shared collateral for these calls will be maintained on a private community on SCN.

Thank you to the 15 people from eight customers that attended the call on July 17 and shared your ideas and best practices. Looking forward to continuing our discussions next month (August 14).

If you are a Personas customer and want to join this group, please let me know. Instructions are at the bottom of the original post.

Hi Peter, I  joined the group and attended the August telecom - very useful - thanks. However I don't have access to the private community on SCN to see the shared collateral that comes out of these sessions – how do I get that?

      Regards.

      Patrick.

I would loved to join this group. We purchased Personas recently and hope to roll it out to around 150 users to start with soon.

      Count me in!

How do I join the group and where is the info on attending? I'd assume it's a Webinar?

      Hi,

I have seen a lot of post and forums on how to use Screen Personas, but none on how to get from my SAP GUI to the SAP Screen Personas.
Only then, with this first step done, I would be able to give some use to all what I am reading. Any tips?

      Thank you.

      Hi Marc,

SAP Screen Personas 2.0 is browser-based, so you would access simplified screens from a browser using a URL that your IT organization would provide to you.

In SAP Screen Personas 3.0, you simplify screens using the browser (SAP GUI for HTML) and if your IT team configures it, you can see them through SAP GUI 7.40.

      Regards,

      Peter

      Hi Peter,

thank you for your feedback. It's correct, the IT team sent me the instructions and I got my first page done.

I'd like to ask if there is a full documentation on all there is to know about Personas.

      Regards,

      Marc

      Peter,

Is the connected system scenario supported in Personas 3.0? If not what is the alternative?

      Thanks

The hub installation (main system - connected systems) scenario is no longer supported in Personas 3.0. Personas 3.0 must be installed individually in each system where it is used.
